About Darren Tien
Darren Tien is one of Singapore’s award-winning illusionists — and one of the few with a genuine filmmaking background that shows in every performance. Rather than presenting magic as a series of isolated tricks, Darren builds shows around narrative and theatrical storytelling, creating performances that leave audiences with more than just amazement. He has made numerous television and radio appearances locally, and has performed for celebrities including Nathan Hartono, Gurmit Singh, and Kurt Hugo Schneider.
In 2019, he debuted his show in Las Vegas and Hollywood. In 2021, he worked with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay to present his own theatrical magic show, Playing The Hand. In 2023, he founded and presented Singapore’s first magic festival — Where the Magic Happens — at Somerset Youth Park. His venue residencies include Hilton Orchard, 5 Emerald Hill, and Baia. Corporate clients include Diptyque, Laneige, Singapore Airlines, Marina Bay Sands, and Singtel.
